poetry is letting words fly giving new abstract meaning to words that have predefined words solely on the basis of how you perceive the way a word leaves your mouth

giving new meaning to old words, in an act of verbal scatting in the off chance the way these words combine and tickle the brain. associating words that are often not associated

to say ‘choose your suffering’ in this world and to live by that is incredibly unilateral

• see how i used the word ‘unilateral’ loosely without fully understanding its meaning, but it felt right to say in the moment, because the way the word is constructed. mostly the “uni” portion of the word points to a definition of singularity. just like how some prolific musicians do not fully understand the method to their own madness. they do not understand the theory or read music. they let God do the talking. they are the conduit. poetry operates in the same vein
